Birth & Postpartum Doula Support

Accessibility is important to me. I offer sliding scale, pay-it-forward and payment plan options for anyone who needs it. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if finances are a barrier for you.

I’m a trauma-informed birth and postpartum doula offering grounded, compassionate support through the journey of pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood.

My practice is rooted in deep listening - holding space for your unique story, values, and desires. My goal is for you (and your partner) to feel prepared, supported, and confident as you approach your birth, knowing I’ll be walking alongside you every step of the way. I prioritise informed choice in the birth space, and I’m here to support your preferences - whether you’re planning a home birth or hospital birth, with or without medication.

I came to this work through my work in community care, advocacy, and reproductive health research. My background deeply informs my commitment to relational care, birth justice, and evidence-based support. I’m additionally trained in supporting people with a history of trauma - whether related to previous birth experiences, sexual trauma, or otherwise. Together, we will hold space for those experiences, approaching your care with sensitivity, respect, and intention.

Birth can’t be fully planned, but it can be prepared for. Together, we’ll explore your options, weigh decisions, and stay grounded in the reality that while plans may shift, you’ll never face those changes alone. I’m here to support you in making informed choices that reflect your values - even when things unfold unexpectedly.

This is how we work together:

After an initial consultation, if we decide we’re a good fit, I’ll be your committed support through pregnancy, birth, and the early weeks of parenthood. Our time together includes in-person sessions and ongoing support by phone, text, or email - whatever you need to feel steady and supported.

Four Prenatal Sessions:

We’ll meet four times before your birth - usually in your home to connect, build trust, and plan for what’s ahead. Each session (2–3 hours) is designed to support your decision-making and deepen your confidence.

Topics we can cover include:

  • Birth preparation, birth preferences and navigating possible scenarios

  • Partner support, coping techniques and comfort measures

  • Newborn care, feeding your baby and early parenthood

  • Planning for postpartum and mental wellbeing

You'll also receive a customised birth and postpartum toolkit - a thoughtfully curated digital space with evidence-based resources, planning tools, and my trusted referral list (including lactation consultants, pelvic health specialists, postpartum doulas, and more), all tailored to your needs.

Birth Support:

Starting at 38 weeks, I’ll be on-call and ready to join when you need me. When labour begins, I’ll join you - at your home or hospital - and provide continuous support through every stage. My presence is steady, grounding and attune to your needs in the moment: offering physical and emotional support, helping you process decisions as they arise, and supporting you in advocating for your preferences.

Postpartum Visit:

In the first 1–2 weeks after birth, I’ll visit you at home for a 4-hour session. This is time for you to rest, reflect, and be cared for. This could include:

  • Emotional and mental health support

  • Guidance on newborn care or breastfeeding

  • Meal preparation, light housework or errands

  • Recovery support through massage or herbal remedies

Additional postpartum support can be booked separately.
